Potential setbacks
Anomaly causes and their removal
In case of anomalies, the following
essential prerequisites for the plant to
function properly must be checked:
1. Is the appliance powered?
2. Is there any light oil in the tank?
3. Are the stop valves all open?
4. Are the adjustment and safety
devices—e.g. boiler thermostat, safety
device in case of water shortages, limit
switches, etc.—all set?
If the anomaly persists even after the
above-mentioned points have been
checked, refer to the following table.
The safety components must not be
repaired, but replaced with components
bearing the same item code.
Symbol
No heat request.
After switching the burner off through
the thermostat, it does not restart.
No anomaly visualised on the control
and safety programmer.
During the start-up phase, the burner
starts then switches off, and the
block indicator light turns on.
The burner switches on then
switches off after pre-ventilation.
The burner switches on then
switches off after the solenoid valve
opens.
The flame switches off while the plant
is functioning.
Exclusively use the manufacturer's
original spare parts.
NB: After each intervention, check
the following:
- The combustion values in operating
conditions (boiler room door closed,
cover mounted, etc.).
- Record the combustion values in the
heating plant booklet.
TEH display: the interface must be
used by personnel who effects the
service so that they can consult the
burner anomalies.
Anomaly
Thermostat incorrectly
adjusted or defective.
Voltage drop or shortage.
Control programmer
anomaly.
The control programmer
was intentionally blocked.
Stray light during the pre-
ventilation or pre-ignition
phases.
No flame at the end of the
safety time.
The flame switches off
when the plant is functio-
ning.
06/2014 - Art. Nr. 4200 1057 7300
Cause
Adjust or replace the thermostats.
Verify the root of the voltage drop or shortage.
Replace the control programmer.
Unblock the control programmer again.
Check the ignition sparks, adjust/replace the elec-
trodes, check/replace the light oil solenoid valve.
Check the level of light oil in the tank.
If necessary, fill the tank.
Open the valves.
Check the oil pressure and operation of the
pump, joint, filter and electromagnetic valve.
Check the ignition circuit and adjust the electro-
des. Clean/replace the electrodes.
Clean/replace the flame detector.
If necessary, replace the following components:
ignition electrodes/ignition cable/ignition transfor-
mer, nozzle/pump/solenoid valve/control and
safety programmer.
