Maintenance

Technical assistance interventions
on the boiler and burner must be
performed exclusively by technical
personnel trained in heating
applications. In order to ensure that
technical assistance interventions
are carried out regularly, the plant
manager should stipulate a
maintenance contract.
Caution
• Disconnect the power supply prior to
undertaking maintenance and
cleaning activities.
• The nozzle and head components
may still be hot.
5
• Mount the mixing device. Observe the
calibration data.
• Mount the burner.
• Start the burner, check the flue gas
data and—if required—correct the
burner adjustments.
Maintenance position 3
• Verify the tightness and state of wear
of all light oil supply components
(hoses, pump, pump tube) and of the
relative couplings, and replace them if
necessary.
• Check for damages to electrical
connections and connecting cables, and
replace them if necessary.
• Check the pump filter and clean it if
necessary.
60
Checking the flue gas temperature
• Regularly check the flue gas
temperature.
• Clean the boiler if the flue gas
temperature exceeds the start-up value
by over 30°C.
• To simplify the check, install a display
for viewing the flue gas temperature.
Burner maintenance positions
• After loosening screw 5 and
detaching the burner, the latter can be
secured in three maintenance
positions.
Position 1
For air line maintenance (fan
cleaning/replacement)
1
Mounting the fan
When replacing the fan or motor,
consult the positioning diagram. Align
the internal flange A of the fan to plate
B. Insert a ruler between the fan vanes
and put A and B at the same height;
tighten the slotted headless screw onto
the fan (maintenance position 1).
Cleaning and replacing the nozzle
Only use the appropriate spanner
supplied with the product to remove the
nozzle, while making sure not to
damage the electrodes. Mount the new
nozzle with the same care. NB: always
06/2014 - Art. Nr. 4200 1057 7300
Position 2
For replacing the nozzle and for
replacing/adjusting the electrodes.
Position 3
For replacing the light oil pump and
filter.
Burner maintenance interventions
Maintenance position 1
• Clean the fan and the guard and
check that there are no damages.
Maintenance position 2
• Check and clean the mixing devices.
• Replace the light oil nozzle.
• Check the ignition electrodes, and
adjust or replace them if necessary.
2
check the position of the electrodes
after mounting the nozzle (see picture).
Their incorrect positioning may lead to
ignition problems (see picture). Their
incorrect positioning may lead to ignition
problems.
