Conformity with standards
The apparat is conform to the standards specified in
the EC-Declaration of conformity, enclosed
separately.
It has been designed, manufactured and tested
according to the state of the art and to DIN EN ISO
9001.
94/9 EC: Equipment and protective systems intendet
for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The control units fulfil further requirements such as
those of the EC directive on electromagnetic
compatibility (2004/108/EG)

Field of application
The light fitting is intended for use in
potentially explosive atmospheres in zones 1,
2 and 21, 22 in accordance with
IEC 60079-10-1 and IEC 60079-10-2.
The light fittings may be equipped with an
additional sealing system for special
conditions of use (e.g. off-shore applications).

For the mounting and operation, the respective
national regulations as well as the general rules of
engineering will have to be observed.
The improper installation and operation of floodlights
may result in the explosion protection and invalidation
of the guarantee.
Transport and storage only original packaging in a
closed and try room!
Observe far any cracks or damage in housing and
glass! Don´t damage the fire-finish of the glass
adquired during moulding (abrasions, sanding, etc.)
that can weaking their mechanical functions.
5.1
Montage
If the lamp is fastened to the wall, make sure
that the connecting cables are inserted
sideways into the bottom of the lamp.
The three fixing lugs are to be used with 8mm
diameter screws and the corresponding
washers.
The enclosure must be attached by the intended
fastening points and must lie flat against the
IP 66
surface so as to make sideward movements
impossible.

Mind! Overtightening might damage the light fitting!
5.2
Opening the light fitting
Mounting dimensions: see Fig. 2

Unscrew the six housing-combi-screws and open
top part of the enclosure..

5.3
Cable entries and Cables
Cable entries and blanking plugs must be approved
for the light fitting protection type and suitable for
its permitted minimum ambient temperature.
Depending on the area cable glands and connecting
cables with a higher temperature range may have to
be used.
For the use of cable entries the national installation
regulations are to be observed, as well as the
indications specified in the cable entry operating
instructions.
During installation of the cable entries all the
manufacturer´s specifications must be observed,
such as which seals and test torque are to be used.
Service specifications from the cable entries´
manufacturer may also have to be observed.
The connecting cables must be chosen specifically
for their application and must correspond to the
specifications of the cable entries, for example
include a suitable filler material.
Connecting cables exposed to strain must be
relieved by suitable measures.
Unused cable entries have to be closed by a
suitable certified blanking plug.
5.4
Electrical connection
See Fig. 1 Mains connection.
The cable entries and cables must be approved
for the lamp's type of protection!
The conductors shall be connected with special care
in order to maintain the explosion category.
The insulation of the conductors shall reach up to the
terminal. The conductor itself shall not be damaged.
The connectible min. and max. conductor cross-
sections shall be observed (see technical data).
5.5
Lamp/LED module
The LED module is wired and ready for operation
upon delivery.
5.6
Closing the light fitting
Remove all foreign bodies from the device.
- Pay attention to the correct fit of the enclosure
top part and the seals.
- All seals must be clean and undamaged.
Apply grease evenly to the
Ex-d flameproof joints
.

The following grease is preferred:
Renocal, Unitemp 2,
-50°C to +100°C, FN 745/94, DIN VW TL 745.
- The light fitting may not be damaged.
- Tighten all 6 enclosure combi-screws evenly
diagonally. (test torque 15 Nm).
If they are tightened excessively, the protection
rating may be compromised.
