These operating instructions are part of the product and must
be read through carefully before using the tow bar.
All safety regulations must always be adhered to. The operating
instructions must be kept during the lifetime of the product and
passed on to every subsequent user or owner.
The tow bar is suitable for cars equipped with series towing
devices that need to be attached at about the same fl oor height.
When the vehicle is moving, the bar needs to be kept straight,
i.e. in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. De-
pending on how the towing lugs are arranged, an off set driving
position may be necessary.
The visibility between the vehicles must be good enough to
allow the rear lights and brake lights of the towing vehicle to be
seen from the vehicle that is being towed.
Before assembling or mounting the tow bar,
all other road users must be warned about the
defective vehicle! Think about your own safety!
Put on the warning vests and position a warning
triangle 100 to 400 meters in front of the vehicle
depending on which country you are in.
Before attaching the tow bar, ensure that both
vehicles are secured to prevent them rolling away.
There is a risk of becoming trapped between the
vehicles.
During towing, always activate the hazard warning lights of
both vehicles.
The steering / ignition lock of the vehicle that is to be towed
must be unlocked during towing! Do not remove the ignition
key! There is a risk that the steering may block!
The towing vehicle may not be lighter than the vehicle that is
to be towed, otherwise it is not possible to control the driving
behaviour securely.
Ensure that the allowed overall weight of the vehicle that is to
be towed of 2500 kg is not exceeded!
It is prohibited to tow vehicles whose brakes are faulty.
