10. Commissioning
FX-Function
The McCrypt Player is equipped with an effect generator. The output signal can be edited with these effects.
Push the button FX ON/OFF (17) to activate the effect generator. The button FX ON/OFF (17) is lit.
Select the desired effect with the button SELECT (18).
Use the RELAY button (6) to select the GAIN or PARAMETER setting of the effect.
The GAIN or PARAMETER setting can be changed with the JOG wheel (24).
Push the button FX ON/OFF (17) to deactivate the effect generator.
REMOTE-Function
The CD player has a REMOTE socket (30). This socket can be used to control playback of the CD player via the
connected mixer (FADERSTART/CROSSFADERSTART). Select the corresponding control mode with the
SINGLE button (21).
Push and hold the SINGLE button (21). Select the respective control mode with the TRACK dial (3)
(LOCK/TACT/CUE-PLAY).

TOUCH Sensitivity Settings

Observe that the JOG wheel (24) TOUCH function is only active for the SCRATCH function. The JOG wheel (24)
touch sensitivity can be adjusted.
Switch off the CD player.
Push and hold the button SINGLE (21) while switching on the CD player with the mains switch (5) until the dis-
play "tOUCH" lights up. Next to the display "tOUCH", the currently set value can be read.
Touch or slide your hand over the JOG wheel surface (24). The display shows the sensitivity value. Increase
the value by +2 when setting.
Set the TRACK dial (3) to the new value accordingly.
Store the settings with the MEMO button (9) and switch off the device with the main switch (5) again.

Switching off the Devices

Interrupt playback by pushing the PLAY/PAUSE button
Switch off the amplifier and any connected mixer.
Only then switch off the CD player with the main switch (32).
