Playback Speed Synchronisation

To mix or cross-fade two signal sources cleanly, the beats have to be synchronised in many cases.
This can be achieved in three ways:
Using the PITCH slider (23). It allows you to permanently modify the speed. This function is used when two
tracks have two completely different tempos.
Using buttons PITCH BEND +/- (22). This allows you to change the speed temporarily. This function is used
when two tracks have the same beat but the starting point has to be synchronised.
Using the JOG wheel (24). By turning the wheel, you can change the speed temporarily. The speed change
depends on how quickly the JOG wheel is turned. This function can also be used when two tracks have the
same beat but the starting point has to be synchronised. Select the JOG mode "normal".
PITCH slider
Press the RANGE button (26) to activate the PITCH slider (23).
Select the max. control area for the slider with the RANGE button (26) (8% / 16% / 100%). The corresponding
LED is lit.
Modify playback speed by moving the PITCH slide control (23) up or down. The percentage of the speed
deviation is displayed in the LC display. Put the slide control in centre position for original speed.
PITCH-BEND buttons
Keep the respective PITCH BEND (22) button depressed during playback to alter the speed by up to 16%.
The PITCH BEND - button reduces speed.
The PITCH BEND + button increases speed.
The amount that the playback speed is altered depends on the length of time that the respective PITCH
BEND button is kept depressed.
When the button is released, the music is played at original speed or at the speed specified by the PITCH slide
control (23).
PITCH-BEND function with the JOG wheel
During playback, the JOG wheel (24) can also be used to adjust playback speed (+/- 16%). The playback
speed change depends on the rotating speed of the wheel.
Turn the wheel to the right to increase speed. Turn the wheel to the left to reduce speed.
