IMPORTANT REMARKS:

The standard fixing points of the vehicle which the vehicle manufacturer indicates and which
are approved in the general vehicle licence are complied with.
The attachment dimensions and clearances specified in appendix VII, illustration 30 of the
Directive 94/20/EG are complied with.
Re-tighten all the securing bolts of the coupling ball with bracket after towing a trailer about
1000 km.
These fitting instructions must be attached to the vehicle documents.
This tow ball and bracket, including all minor components necessary for fitting, weighs 18 kg.
Please bear in mind that the unloaded weight of your vehicle will be increased by 18 kg when
the tow ball and bracket have been attached.
Installation of the mechanical connection must be checked in accordance with the specifications
in Appendix I, No. 5.10, as per requirements of Appendix VII of Guideline 94/20/EC.
Install electrical system in accordance with DIN V72570 / ISO11446.
The ball coupling should be kept clean and greased.
Check the diameter of the ball from time to time.
As soon as a diameter of 49,0 mm exists at any point, the coupling ball with bracket must no longer
be used for safety reasons.
Note: After mounting the removable trailer hitch Type 335 229, the visible bolts can be repainted
black for optical reasons.
