18. Make sure that the LINK LED flashes every 5 seconds to show that the modem is connected to
the network.
19. Select Connectivity. Make sure that the 3G section shows OK and a modem connection is
enabled.
The controller gets the network IP addresses.

Note: Configure the Wi-Fi card 'wlan0' first. The MSM Wi-Fi connection can be used with WEP (not recommended)
and WPA2-PSK authentication.
Note: Examine the router settings. The manufacturer recommends that the router security setting is not set to
'mixed mode'. The Wi-Fi stick in the SC1500 can not be used with 'mixed mode' security. AES (WPA2) and TKIP
(WPA) must be independently set.
• Does the customer router supplies IP addresses via DHCP? If yes, only refer to
network connection
Or does customer router supplies static IP addresses? If yes, only refer to
connection on page 9.
• Is there a firewall in the customer network? If yes, make sure that the ports on the firewall are
open for incoming and outgoing traffic. Refer to
Table 3 on page 6 for the port settings.
