In general, the AEON will behave conventionally to most
paragliders. However, listed below are several points which
6.95
will enable you to familiarise yourself with your new glider more
21.52
rapidly.
4.1. Pre-flight Checks
10.53
5.16
• Check the sail for damage to both surfaces, the internal
structure (ribs, diagonals) and seams.
70
• Check that the lines are not damaged or tangled.
• Check that the quick-links which connect the lines to the
4.75
risers are undamaged and correctly tightened.
• Check that the risers are not damaged or twisted.
100-120
• Lastly, check that the brake handles are correctly attached
and that each line runs freely through its pulley.

4.2. Take-off

M,L, XL
Lay out the paraglider with the leading edge in a horseshoe
500 mm
shape. Holding the A risers close to the quick links move
500 mm
forward until the lines are tight. You should now be correctly
centred in your wing. In nil wind or a light headwind, with lines
500 mm
tight take several positive strides. The AEON will rapidly inflate
500 mm
and rise over your head. Do not pull the risers too hard, either
M,L, XL
forward or down as this could cause a collapse of the leading
edge. Just follow them with your arms until the glider reaches
340 mm
its angle of flight. It is essential that the center-of-gravity of your
360 mm
body remains in front of your feet during inflation of the glider
380 mm
so that the load through the risers remains constant. Controlled
500 mm
inflation avoids the excessive need for the brakes and allows
165 mm
you to visually check the wing and lines during the last phase
of the launch, before acceleration to take-off speed. Depending
