Formation of foam: anti-foam products are available to
reduce the formation of foam in the water, normally caused
by the presence of soap, suntan oils and other greasy sub-
stances. The interaction of these substances with hot water,
in particular with a high pH level (high alkaline content), caus-
es the formation of foam.
Oil film or cloudy water: these situations are often due to in-
sufficient water filtering, but are also caused by sunscreen oils,
lotions and cosmetics. It is possible to add flocculants to cause
the contaminants to coagulate into globules that are sufficient-
ly large to be handled by the filtering system. These globules may
however completely clog the filters.
The addition of flocculants therefore makes the water clearer but
the clogged filters must be cleaned following the instructions giv-
en in the "Skimmer-filter maintenance" chapter.

DRAINING THE TUB
WINTER INACTIVITY
It is a good rule to empty the MaxiJacuzzi regularly (about
every 4-
8
weeks), in order to ensure a change of water and
proceed with tub cleaning.
If you are away for any length of time, it is advisable to emp-
ty the MaxiJacuzzi
®
, as long periods without carrying out
water treatment can damage the MaxiJacuzzi
CAUTION
Before emptying, make sure that the chemi-
cal additive values in the water are within the
permitted limits.
If in doubt, contact the local authorities.
DO NOT EMPTY THE WATER INTO A SEPTIC
TANK.
In areas where winter temperatures frequently drop
below 0°C, during periods in which the MaxiJacuzzi
is not used, proceed as follows:
Disconnect the electricity from the main control panel.
Empty the MaxiJacuzzi
i
valve
(detail C on

), and leave it open. The emptying of the
MaxiJacuzzi
®
is not complete; stagnant water on the seats and
bottom of the tub can be eliminated with a sponge, while
water left in the hoses can be sucked out through the hy-
dromassage and suction intakes, using a liquid-suction pump.
It is advisable to empty the pump as well via the appropriate drain
plug.

IMPORTANT

In cold climates, where temperatures drop well
below 0°C, all residual water should be elimi-
nated from the circuit.
Remove and clean the filter cartridge(s) and store in a dry
place.

chapter "Instruction for use - part two",
In areas where temperatures only occasionally drop below 0
°C, the spa can be left in operation, since it is equipped with an
anti-freeze protection that ensures that a minimum water tem-
perature is maintained (see the chapter "Setting the water tem-
perature" which contains the paragraphs "Maintaining a min-
imum temperature of the water" and "Preventing freezing of wa-
ter in the pipes - "Smart Winter" mode).
