Applicable to the given situation (general
warning sign).
PLEASE NOTE! Drawings in this manual are for
illustration purposes only and in some details, it may
differ from the actual product.
The original operation manual is in German. Other
language versions are translations from German.
2. USAGE SAFETY
ATTENTION! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in serious injury or even death.
The terms "device" or "product" are used in the warnings
and instructions to refer to <Clamp Multimeter >. Do not
use in very humid environments or in the direct vicinity of
water tanks. Prevent the device from getting wet. Risk of
electric shock! Do not cover the ventilation openings!

2.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY

a)
When measuring the voltage, make sure that the
knob is set to appropriate range.
b)
Exercise caution when measuring voltage above 50V.
c)
If possible, avoid connecting the device to live
circuits.
d)
Before taking measurements of: resistance, diode or
continuity test, capacitance test or temperature test,
make sure that the tested circuit is not live.
e)
Before taking the measurements, make sure that the
correct function and measuring range have been
selected.
f)
Take special care in the event of a break in the circuit
when using the device in a system with an electric
current transformer connected to the terminals.
g)
Before every use, make sure that the test leads and
probes are in good condition, e.g. the insulation is
undamaged.
h)
Before disassembling the battery cover, disconnect
the test leads and probes from the device and set the
and
rotary switch to the "OFF" position.
i)
When measuring, make sure that you are holding
the insulated parts of the test leads.
j)
Please observe general electrotechnical principles
and guidelines when taking measurements.

2.2. SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE

a)
Do not use the device in a potentially explosive
environment, for example in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust
b)
If you discover damage or irregular operation,
immediately switch the device off and report it to
a supervisor without delay.
c)
If there are any doubts as to the correct operation
of the device, contact the manufacturer's support
service.
d)
Only the manufacturer's service point may repair the
device. Do not attempt any repairs independently!
e)
In case of fire, use a powder or carbon dioxide
(CO2) fire extinguisher (one intended for use on live
electrical devices) to put it out.
f)
Regularly inspect the condition of the safety labels. If
the labels are illegible, they must be replaced.
g)
Please keep this manual available for future
reference. If this device is passed on to a third party,
the manual must be passed on with it.

h)
Keep packaging elements and small assembly parts
in a place not available to children.
i)
If this device is used together with another
equipment, the remaining instructions for use shall
also be followed.

2.3. PERSONAL SAFETY

a)
Do not use the device when tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, narcotics or medication which
can significantly impair the ability to operate the
device.
b)
The device is not designed to be handled by persons
(including children) with limited mental and sensory
functions or persons lacking relevant experience
and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by
a person responsible for their safety or they have
received instruction on how to operate the device.
c)
The device is not a toy. Children must be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the device.
2.4. SAFE DEVICE USE
a)
When not in use, store in a safe place, away from
children and people not familiar with the device who
have not read the user manual. The device may pose
a hazard in the hands of inexperienced users.
b)
Keep the device in perfect technical condition.
Before each use check for general damage and
especially check for cracked parts or elements and
for any other conditions which may impact the safe
operation of the device. If damage is discovered,
hand over the device for repair before use.
c)
Keep the device out of the reach of children.
d)
Device repair or maintenance should be carried out
by qualified persons, only using original spare parts.
This will ensure safe use.
e)
To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory-fitted guards and do not loosen
any screws.
f)
Do not leave this appliance unattended while it is in
use.
g)
Clean the device regularly to prevent stubborn grime
from accumulating.
h)
Do not cover the air intake and outlet.
i)
The device is not a toy. Cleaning and maintenance
may not be carried out by children without
supervision by an adult person.
j)
It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of
the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
k)

unintended use of the device.

3.1. DEVICE DESCRIPTION

ATTENTION! This product's view can be found on the
last pages of the operating instructions (pp. 36).
1)
Knob: switching off the device/selecting the function
and measuring range.
2)
D.HOLD button/Backlight: Press the button for
any chosen range, the current display value will
be locked and the symbol "H" will appear on the
display. Press the button again to exit HOLD, and
the "H" symbol will disappear. Pressing and holding
the "D.HOLD" button for more than 2 seconds will
turn on the backlight, pressing and holding it again
for more than 2 seconds will turn off the backlight.
After approx. 15 seconds, the backlight will turn off
automatically.
3)
SELECT button: Operates within CAP,
Ω. Test
selection: Resistance, diodes, circuit continuity,
capacitance, and the measuring range: voltage,
amperage, the type of current, temperature ranges
and units (pressing the button).
4)
MAX/MIN button: switching between MAX and
MIN display modes. Holding the button for more
than 2 seconds switches the mode to the automatic
measuring range, pressing the button once again
results in switching to the manual range mode. (The
function cannot be used in Hz/Duty mode.)
5)
Hz/Duty button: Hz measuring in "ACV / ACA" or "Hz"
mode, pressing the button triggers load measuring.
6)
REL button: Saving the current displayed value in the
memory. The new displayed value is the difference
between the input value and the saved data (the
function cannot be used in Hz/Duty mode). Holding
the button for more than 2 seconds measures the
starting current in "ACA / DCA".
7)
LCD display
8)
Input jack for test leads: "T+", "T-COM", "VΩHz".
9)
Measuring clamp
10)
Button for opening the measuring terminal
