3013 Series Neck Kit
This tow bar must be used with a '3013' series Witter Neck Kit which dimensionally conforms to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value
greater than or equal to that of the tow bar.
FITTING
Remove the bumper and its under tray.

Lower the exhaust silencer.

Remove the exhaust heat shield.
Remove the fuel filler pipe bracket from base of nearside chassis rail.

Assemble Side Brackets (B & C) loosely to the base of each chassis rail using the fasteners (G), including the forward-

most mounting if a captive nut is present (Fine Pitch M12).
Note: the vehicle towing eye loop feeds through the large rectangular hole in Side Arm (C).

If there is NO CAPTIVE NUT in the forward-most mounting (J) then carry out the following:
a. Remove the steel bumper beam
b. Mark out and drill through the rear panel to gain access to each chassis rail. (See diagram below)
c.
Treat the edges of the drilled holes with a suitable rust inhibitor.
d. Pre-Assemble M12 Cage Nuts to the Cage Nut Straps (D).
e. Insert Cage Nut Straps into each chassis rail (through the holes drilled in the rear panel), and use to complete the
securing of Side Arms (B & C) using remaining fasteners (J) and Spacers (H).
f.
Refit the Steel Bumper Beam, leaving off the bottom two fasteners at each end of he beam.
Cut off or bend upwards the central metal tab on the steel bumper beam to clear the Cross-Bar (A)

Loosely assemble Cross Bar (A) and Brackets (E) to each side of Side Arms using fasteners (K).

Finish the securing of Brackets (E) to the vehicle using fasteners (L) through the bottom two mountings of the Steel

Bumper Beam. (First remove the bottom two bolts from each end of bumper beam and discard)
Assemble Electrical Plate Bracket (ZB) and the chosen neck variant to Cross Bar (A) using fasteners provided in the
10.
Neck Kit.
Assemble the Electrical Plate Kit (ZE) to Electrical Plate Bracket (ZB) using fasteners in Electrical plate kit.
11.
Trim the exhaust heat shield as shown and re-assemble to the vehicle.
12.
Trim back the centre internal bumper tab flush with the lower edge of the bumper
13.
Re-fit the bumper.

At the fitters discretion, either leave bumper under tray off and hand back to customer or trim the centre and ends of the
15.
bumper under tray as shown and refit to the vehicle.
Refit the fuel filler pipe bracket to the lug provided on Side Arm (B) using fasteners (M). This will need to be located
16.
slightly further along the plastic filler pipe.
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm
Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
