- changer de position fréquemment (au moins toutes les 2 heures) ;
- maintenir l'hygiène de la peau et éviter la macération ;
- en cas d'incontinence, changer régulièrement les protections;
- observer ou faire observer quotidiennement l'état cutané;
- s'assurer que l'alimentation est suffisante et adaptée ;
TIPS
The first line in bedsore prevention involves changing the pressure points of the body on the mattress and cushion an average of every two to three
hours, to limit prolonged compression of blood vessels in relation to bony protrusions and to allow tissue irrigation.
OVERVIEW:
• Cushions without pelvic support: prevention of medium to high scale pressure sore risks as validated and assessed by a clinical trial, for users without
stability disorders.
• Cushions with pelvic support: prevention of stability disorders in the sagittal plane associated with a "medium to high" scale risk of pressure ulcers as
validated and assessed by a clinical trial. For patients with a history of ischial or sacrococcygeal pressure ulcers.
INSTALLATION:
• Before use, if stored below 15°C, we recommend that you expose the product for 30 minutes in a dry room (T° > 15°C) outside of its packaging.
• Position the ischial curves and coccygeal discharge towards the rear, and the external rotator towards the front.
• Protect the cushion by using the full protective cover that is provided, making sure that the label marked "arrière/back" is positioned towards the rear of
the cushion and the non-skid surface is in contact with the seat of the chair. The handle (located under the product) should be facing the front of the
cushion.
• Regarding the cushion with pelvic support, make sure that it is positioned with the external rotator forward. The pelvic support should be placed into
the cover slot before it is put onto the cushion
• In accordance with decree no. 2006-1637 (19/12/2006): "Service providers and equipment distributors will vouch for the proper use of the product
during installation" (excerpt).

PRECAUTIONS FOR PROTECTIVE COVERINGS
• Systematically protect the cushion by using the supplied fully waterproof covers.
• Prohibit scouring, stripping or dissolving products and sharp objects in direct contact with the protective covering.
• Make sure you regularly inspect the normal wear on the protective covering and replace it if it is damaged (holes, cracks, changes in the surface,
transparent when looked at in the light).
PRECAUTIONS FOR MATERIALS
• Avoid prolonged damp contact with the foam.
• Carry out regular visual checks on the condition of the foam: the ALOVA material visibly setting or a non uniform and very slow return are all signs of
ageing which compromise the support properties which help to prevent pressure ulcers.
STORAGE
• ALOVA supports should preferably be stored flat, away from direct sunlight and humidity.
DISPOSAL
• Do not burn or dump the support and its protective covering outside areas intended for this purpose.
