13. Slightly pull out the cable of the vehicle with the "Kl.15 signal" potential (e.g. black/yellow) and
connect it to the black/yellow cable of the retrofitted cable set using the supplied insulation
displacement connector.
14. Push open the latch of the 11-fold CAN distributor in the area of the central fuse, relay and
terminal box (Fig. 1/2). Plug the 2-pin black housing of the cable set into a free port and close
the latch of the CAN distributor.
15. In the area of the vehicle's battery, let the receptacle of the red/black cable (Fig. 1/3) of the
cable set and the one of the supplied red single cable lock into place in the supplied fuse
holder (Fig. 2) and close the latch.
16. Insert a 15A fuse (Fig. 2) and screw the eyelet to the positive battery terminal.
Note
Ensure sufficient strain relief and correct installation of the fuse holder.
17. Only for 13-pin variant:
Using the 3-pin connector for the constant plus extension kit, the function "constant plus" can
be retrofitted.
The constant plus extension kit is available in specialist shops under the Westfalia part no.
300 027 300 113.
Checking correct operation
18. Reconnect the ground of the vehicle's battery.
19. Perform the variant coding for the towing hitch using the service tester.
20. Check the trailer function with the help of a suitable test instrument (with load resistors) or
with the help of a trailer.
21. Secure all of the cables using cable ties.
22. Reattach any parts removed for installation.
