4.2.7 Overlap and multipath effect

If two infrared radiators that are installed next to each other overlap, the entire radiation range is larger
than with two separate infrared radiators. The radiation intensity is greater than the required range. See
figure.
The added area increases the radiation range.
The receivers receive signals from many infrared radiators. As a result of delay, reception is either out of
sync or not available.The signal delay can be adjusted and compensated for at the infrared radiator.
The signal delay reduces the radiation range.
