A CONTENT:
1)
A set of two complete joints with uprights that can be positionned on the right side and on the left side and are fitted with a 0° extension stop (blue)
and a 20° flexion stop (blue).
2)
A small bag including :
2 x 6° extension stops (beige)
2 x 10° extension stops (green)
2 x 15° extension stops (black)
2 x 20° extension stops (yellow)
2 x 30° extension stops (red)
2 x 40° extension stops (brown)
B REPLACEMENT OF AN EXTENSION STOP
1) Unscrew and remove screw A
2) Remove the extension stop that must be changed
3) Replace it with the convenient extension stop
4) Re-screw screw A.
C REPLACEMENT OF A FLEXION STOP
1) Unscrew and remove screw B
2) Remove the flexion stop that must be changed
3) Replace it with the convenient flexion stop
4) Re-screw screw B.
D SOFTENING THE SPLINTS FOR FORMING
1) Tip : To ensure a correct alignment of the splints when making the orthosis, we advise you to use our 6C96 forming kit.
2) Softening in the oven : Set the oven to 140°C and heat the splints for 20 minutes. As the metal screw might damage the plastic, it is essential to remove each
of them before heating the splints.
3) Softening with hot air blower : Do not heat to more than 150°C.
WARNING : Stop heating immediately if you see that the colour of the material is changing.
E COOLING
In all cases leave the splints to cool on the plaster cast without accelerating the cooling process with compressed air.
F CUTTING TO LENGTH - DRILLING
All the operations to prepare the splints (cutting to length, drilling, etc...) should be carried out only when the splints have completely cooled.
E ACCESSORIES
1) PROTEOR 6C96 forming kit : for easy trimming when forming.
2) 6C97 lock : This accessory allows for an easy and effective locking in any predetermined position.
3) 6C98 condyle cushions : Comfort is improved by this set of two condyle cushions with accessories for fastening to the splints
