Hardware Installation
Installing the HDF3168 MDA Frame is achieved via securing the frame either directly to the structural
floor or through a raised access floor system.
Notice: The Leviton HDF3168 MDA Frame Decks, Cross Frame Routing Trays, Front Door Kits and
Cable Clamp Kits are also provided with specific instruction sheets. Please refer to each
product's provided documentation for further information or access the on our website at
www.leviton.com/HDF3168.

Installing an HDF3168 MDA Frame
Warning: To avoid injury or damage, it is highly recommended that two people perform the un-
packaging, relocation and placement of the HDF3168 MDA Frame. Allow only qualified
personnel to install this product
Install a Leviton HDF3168 MDA Frame by following these steps:
1. Carefully remove the outer cardboard packaging from the frame.
Notice: In the event of internal or un-noticed damage to product, save all packaging until completion
of the installation process in the event re-packaging is required.
2. Remove the frame from the packaging pallet by removing the 4 ½ bolts securing the frame to the
pallet.
3. Relocate frame to the desired mounting location.
4. For installation on a Raised Access Floor:
a. Verify the area below the RAF is suitable for cable routing and mounting of the frame to
building structure.
b. Perform the tile cut as shown in figure 8.
