Solution
Switch the appliance off and pull the plug out
of the socket.
Eliminate the cause of overheating
(e.g. blocked suction channels, filters, etc.).
Wait for about 45 minutes. After the appli-
ance has cooled off, you may switch it on
again.
Empty the dust container, ZChapter 4.1,
"Emptying the dust container".
Clean the filters, ZChapter 4.3, "Cleaning
the central lamellae filter and the motor pro-
tection filter" that is ZChapter 4.4, "Cleaning
the hygienic exhaust filter".
Remove the obstacle. If necessary, use a
long wooden rod for this (e.g. a broomstick).
Select the right brush/nozzle for the type of
floor you want to clean, ZChapter 2.3, "Us-
ing other nozzles (accessories)".
Set the "carpet/hard floor" selector to the
correct position for the type of floor,
ZChapter 3.1, "Vacuuming", step 4 you
want to clean.
Set the suction power control to the correct
position for the type of floor, ZChapter 3.1,
"Vacuuming", step 5, you want to clean.
Close the bypass vent (Fig. 12/1).
