START-UP
Procedure prior to the first lighting
- Connect the boiler to the mains power supply and check that the control
panel is under voltage.
- In case of malfunction, please refer to the "Fault Codes" section in the
Instructions for the CCE SE control panels. Whenever necessary, call Roca's
nearest Service Centre.
First Lighting
Note:The Newtronic 2RS (LAIA 25 GTA), Newtronic 3RS (LAIA 25 GTAF and LAIA 30 GTA) and Newtronic 4RS (LAIA 30GTAF), light up 6 minutes after sensing
demand for heat. The Crono-3LX, Crono-5L and Crono-5LX, as well as later ignitions of Newtronic 2RS, 3RSand 4RS, start firing almost immediately.
- Check the pump for correct operation andunlock it, if necessary, by pressing a screwdriver into the slot on the shaft-end and at the same time, turn it.
- Check the burner for correct operation.
- Check that there are no flue gas leaks and that radiators reach the required temperature.
Checking Limit Thermostat Operation
It is advisable to carry out this check in order to prevent future serious malfunction. This can only be done if no
lockout condition exists (code 00) or because a lockout caused by a fault in the limit thermostat itself (code 11).
Start checking with a boiler temperature below 80ºC.
Access the Installer Mode. Refer
to the "Access/Exit Installer
Mode" section in the instructions
for the installer that come with
the CCE SE control panels.
The high limit thermostat does not trip
before the boiler reaches 114ºC.

Correct Thermostat:
Press the

- Bleed the air from the installation and radiators and, if necessary, top up with
water until the fill pressure on the "bar" scale on the control panel reaches
the required level (1 bar = 10 metres).
- Read carefully the information contained in the instructions that come with
the CCE control panels and select, programme and set the necessary
values.
The high limit thermostat does not trip before the boiler reaches 114ºC.
Faulty Thermostat:
Replace the faulty thermostat with a new one and check its
operation.
Exit the
Installer Mode.
Wait until the boiler temperature drops below 80ºC and reset the
high limit thermostat.
