Pump Maintenance
Important: Cleaning the Pump is essential to the longevity of the Pet Fountain, as well
as the cleanliness of the water. Clean the Pump every two weeks. Warranty may be
voided if the Pump's motor is not cleaned regularly.
Pump
1. Remove the Pre-Filter and Housing from the Bowl.
2. Remove the Pump from the Pet Fountain as explained in the "Pet Fountain Disassembly
and Cleaning" section.
3. Once the Pump is out of the Pet Fountain, with your thumb and forefinger, gently
squeeze on either side of the Faceplate, and pull it off. It may be necessary to insert a
fingernail into the seam of the Faceplate to pry it off (Fig. 13 & 14).
4. Next, remove the Intake Plate by placing your fingernail underneath the small lip
located on the narrow side of the teardrop-shaped Intake Plate Pull-Tab and pull it
out (Fig. 15 & 16).
