7. Lift the Pump straight up – this may require slight force until the suction cups release.
8. Pull the In-Line Plug up through the Cord Pass-Through located to the left of the
Pump (Fig. 7).
9. Once the Pet Fountain is completely
disassembled you will have 4 plastic parts.
10. Clean the Pet Fountain plastic parts with warm
water and soap. You can also put the Pet
Fountain in the top rack of the dishwasher.
Remove the pump before placing the Pet
Fountain in the dishwasher. NEVER PLACE
PUMP IN DISHWASHER! If possible, it is recommended that you turn down the
heat of the water inside the dishwasher. The Pet Fountain may also be cleaned with
a diluted vinegar solution (20% white vinegar and 80% water). Be sure to rinse
thouroughly with fresh water.

Pump Maintenance
Important: Cleaning the Pump is essential to the longevity of the Pet Fountain, as well
as the cleanliness of the water. Clean the Pump every two weeks. Warranty may be
voided if the Pump's motor is not cleaned.
Pump
1. Remove the Pre-Filter and Housing from the Bowl.
2. Remove the Pump from the Pet Fountain as explained in the "Pet Fountain Disassembly
and Cleaning" section.
3. Once the Pump is out of the Pet
Fountain, with your thumb and
forefinger, gently squeeze on either
side of the Faceplate, and pull it
off. It may be necessary to insert
a fingernail into the seam of the
Faceplate to pry it off (Fig. 8-9).
