Important NOTES !
The towing hitch is a safety part and may be mounted by qualified personnel only. Should spare parts become
necessary they may be mounted by qualified personnel only onto undamaged original parts. Any alteration or
modification of the towing hitch is not allowed. Only the supplied fasteners of the appropriate property class may
be used for mounting the towing hitch. The scope of delivery does not include any parts that can be replaced by
the user. Call us please, if there are any parts missing or damaged.
· The permissible weight of the rig (vehicle weight + trailer weight) may not be exceeded. The certified D-
value and the certified support load of the towing hitch may not be exceeded. The support load sign must be
attached to the vehicle at an easily visible site near the towing hitch. The inside of the boot is also
permissible.
· All of the towing hitch's fastening screws should be retightened according to the listed torque specifications
after about 1000 trailer Km and at every vehicle inspection.
· The ball head should always be inserted lightly greased. When using vibration absorbers observe the
manufacturer's instructions.
· When subsequently drilling bore holes in the vehicle make sure that no wires can be damaged. Remove any
bore shavings and protect all opened body parts such as bore holes against corrosion and water. Mount the
electrical system according to traffic regulations and check the proper function of the lighting system.
ISO norm fasteners sometimes have different head sizes than DIN norm fasteners. Be sure to use only
matching tools.
Towing operation restricts the driving potential of the vehicle and demands increased attention on the part of the
driver. Towing hitch operation makes increased demands on the cooling system. Inquire at your contracted
garage regarding any necessary reconstruction measures on the cooling system. In some countries it is required
to indicate the permissible tow load in kg on the vehicle. The specified tow load is only valid for the towing hitch
and does not refer to the vehicle.
The operating license of the vehicle does not lapse if an official acceptance of the attachments is promptly made
by a certified expert or vehicle inspector. We would like to point out that the vehicle registration office needs to
correct the vehicle's registration papers. Show these installation instructions to the certified expert or vehicle
inspector during the inspection of the attachment. Keep all documents with the vehicle's papers.
