• Place the convection lid over a Petromax Atago or the Petromax Dutch Ovens ft9 or smaller.

• Caution! The convection lid builds up heat. It can become extremely hot when used.

• Caution! When you remove the convection lid from the fireplace, heat can escape quickly.
• Protect your hands and forearms with heatresistant gloves or a cloth, when touching the convection
lid. We recommend the Petromax Aramid Pro 300 Gloves.
• Never leave the convection lid unattended while it is in use. Watch over children and animals close
to the hot convection lid.
• Only use the convection lid over fireplaces in the open air. Do not use indoors. Fire hazard and
danger of suffocation.
• Always comply with fire safety regulations. Show consideration to plant and animal life and to nature
reserves when cooking outdoors.
• Make sure you have a suitable fire-extinguishing agent nearby (water, sand, fire blanket, fire extin-
guisher).
• Let the convection lid cool down completely after use.
Use
We recommend that you use the convection lid with our products Petromax Atago and Petromax
Dutch Ovens.
With Atago as a cooking device / convection oven
Place the convection lid over an extended Petromax Atago. Put down the convection lid that is lies on
the lower cylinder (see illustration 2). In combination with the Atago, the lid is perfect for baking pizza or
cooking fish, meat and vegetables with little or residual heat. Use coal and briquettes very economically,
for heat is very well kept inside the Atago and under the convection lid.
