• Failure to follow the cleaning solution recommended
concentration rates and contact times may result in rapid
deterioration of the material.
• Cold liquid disinfection/sterilization, chemical vapor sterilization,
and dry heat sterilization methods have not been tested or
validated for efficacy and are not recommended for use.
Instructions
Point of use:
• Ultrasonic inserts must be removed from the handpiece before
processing.
• Do not allow residue or any form of contamination to dry on
device. Remove excess soil/gross debris by rinsing under running
water.
• Following use, device should be reprocessed as soon as is
reasonably practical.
Mechanical Cleaning: Ultrasonic Cleaners
• Follow manufacturer instructions for instrument cleaning solution,
observing concentration rates and contact times.
Note: Some instrument cleaning solutions also disinfect.
• May be cleaned using an ultrasonic water bath for up to 15 minutes.
• Prepare an enzymatic instrument cleaning solution per
manufacturer's instructions paying attention to concentration
rates and contact times. A pH neutral instrument cleaning solution
such as Dentsply Sirona Resurge® Instrument Cleaning Liquid is
recommended for ultrasonic bath.
• Adhere to the ultrasonic cleaning bath manufacturer's
recommended liquid level.
• The use of an instrument cassette during an ultrasonic bath is
recommended to reduce the risk of instrument damage.
