ROUTINE CHECKS
Regularly, and at least once every 6 months, the user should
perform a basic check to verify if the appliance is functioning
correctly, on the basis of the following control points:
1. Only for POF-SOF-2: check settings of electronic control
panel.
2. Check drain outlet; there shouldn't be any water flow
(unless appliance is in backwash).
3. Check appliance and surrounding area; there shouldn't be
any water leakages. Shut off the water supply to the
appliance immediately if any sign of leaks is observed.
MANUAL BACKWASH
The backwash frequency of the appliance depends on
the water quality and the water consumption. We
recommend to perform a backwash regularly, at least once
every 6 months.
The transparent housing allows the user to easily check
the condition of the filter element; when accumulation of
particles on the filter element starts to become clearly
visible, performing a backwash is recommended.
When the water flow from a faucet noticeably slows
down, this may be caused by the filter element becoming
clogged. Performing a backwash is recommended.
only for SOF-POE-1
If a permanent sewerage connection is not installed,
make sure to use a suitable removable recipient (f.e. a
bucket) for the collection of the rinse water.

1. Turn the drain handle 180° to the backwash position,
meaning to the vertical position with the handle pointing
upwards; let the water run for 10-15 seconds to backwash
the filter element.
2. Turn the drain handle 180° to the service position,
meaning in vertical position with the handle pointing
downwards.
3. Check the drain outlet; there shouldn't be any water flow.
only for SOF-POE-2
1. Manually initiate a backwash, by pressing the scroll
and up
buttons simultaneously and holding them for 3
sec until the display shows:
2. The drain motor will be activated and run until it reaches
the backwash position, i.e. drain is open.
3. The count-down timer will count down; when it reaches 0
sec, the drain motor will be activated again and run until
it reaches the service position, i.e. drain is closed.
4. Check the drain outlet; there shouldn't be any water flow.

MAINTENANCE
To retain the appearance of the appliance, simply wipe it with
a damp cloth or clean it with a mild soap solution; never use
abrasive cleaners, ammonia or solvents.
Whenever polluted water or water of unknown quality
has passed through the appliance, we strongly recommend
to thoroughly rinse the appliance.
This appliance is manufactured from premium quality
material and assembled in safe conditions to assure it is clean
and sanitary. If installed and serviced correctly, this appliance
will not infect or contaminate your water supply. However, as
in any 'device' plumbed-in in your water distribution system,
a proliferation of bacteria is possible, especially in case of
'stagnant water'.
If the water supply to the appliance is disconnected, or in case
of longer period of non-use of the appliance, we recommend
to thoroughly backwash the appliance before putting it into
use.
