INLET & OUTLET
Always mount the appliance with the inlet/outlet in
horizontal position and the drain outlet pointing
downwards.
Make sure that the pipe in which the appliance will be
mounted, is properly attached to the wall, in order to
support the weight of the appliance.
The bottom section of the appliance (transparent
housing and below) can be rotated freely; this way the
orientation of the inlet/outlet ports and the position of the
drain handle/motor can be adjusted to suit the installation
location.
Make sure to shut off the water supply to the place of
installation, before you start any plumbing work.

1. Screw the connection kit with nuts onto the inlet and
outlet ports of the appliance; make sure to install the
gasket seals. Tighten the nuts firmly.
2. Install the appliance in the water pipe.
3. Connect the mains water supply to the inlet port marked
'IN' of the appliance.
4. Connect the house/application to the outlet port marked
'OUT' of the appliance.
DRAIN
only for SOF-POE-1: the rinse water that flows from the
drain outlet when backwash is performed, may be collected
in a suitable removable recipient (f.e. a bucket) or
discharged via a permanent connection to the sewerage
system.
only for SOF-POE-2: a permanent connection to the
sewerage system must be provided for the discharge of the
rinse water that flows from the drain outlet when backwash
is performed automatically.
In case of a permanent connection to the sewerage
system, we recommend the use of a stand pipe with P-trap.
The connection must be made in such a way that backflow is
prevented. Make sure that the sewerage system is suitable
for the rinse water flow rate of the appliance.

ELECTRICAL (only for SOF-POE-2)
1. If necessary, carefully remove, rotate 180° and reinstall
the cover with integrated electronic control panel, so it is
facing forward; make sure that the cable of the integrated
flow meter remains properly connected.
2. Connect the cable from the electronic controller to the
cable on the drain motor; secure the connection.
3. Plug the transformer into an electrical outlet.
Whenever the electronic controller or the power supply
is (re)connected to the appliance, the drain motor will
automatically be activated and run until it reaches the
service position, i.e. drain is closed.

PRESSURIZING
Picture 6.a
1. Only for SOF-POE-1: make sure the drain handle is in
service position, meaning to the vertical position with the
handle pointing downwards.
2. Open the mains water supply.
3. Open a cold treated water faucet nearby the appliance
and let the water run for a minute until all air is purged
and all foreign material that may have resulted from the
installation is washed out; close the tap.
4. Check the appliance and all hydraulic connections for
leaks.
PERFORM BACKWASH
only for SOF-POE-1
If a permanent sewerage connection is not installed,
make sure to use a suitable removable recipient (f.e. a
bucket) for the collection of the rinse water.
Picture 6
1. Turn the drain handle 180° to the backwash position,
meaning to the vertical position with the handle pointing
upwards; let the water run for 10-15 seconds to backwash
the filter element.
2. Turn the drain handle 180° to the service position,
meaning in vertical position with the handle pointing
downwards.
3. Check the drain outlet; there shouldn't be any water flow.
only for SOF-POE-2
1. Manually initiate a backwash, by pressing the scroll
and up
buttons simultaneously and holding them for 3
sec until the display shows:
2. The drain motor will be activated and run until it reaches
the backwash position, i.e. drain is open.
3. The count-down timer will count down; when it reaches 0
sec, the drain motor will be activated again and run until
it reaches the service position, i.e. drain is closed.
4. Check the drain outlet; there shouldn't be any water flow.
