5 Options for Wearing, Fixing and Connecting
1 . Transport bag: Place the WAP-7D into the front pocket
so that the speaker points outwards . Then the sound is
able to pass through the textile mesh without obstruc-
tion .
2 . Belt (G): Pass the belt through the lug (g) of the fixing
plate (D) . Hook the plate on the rear side of the WAP-7D
into the three retaining elements (2) . Tie the belt with
the WAP-7D around your waist . For releasing the fixing
plate later, press the two latches (f) and push the plate
downwards at the same time .
3 . Neckband (F): Pass the ends of the neckband through
the two lugs (e) of the fixing plate (D) and pull them
through the two loop holders (h) . Hook the fixing plate
on the rear side of the WAP-7D into the three retaining
elements (2) . Put the neckband with the unit around
your neck . To adjust the length of the band in an
optimum way, move the loop holders . For releasing the
fixing plate later, press the two latches (f) and push the
plate downwards at the same time .
4 . Belt clip (C): First pull the holding plate (c) out of the
clip . For this purpose, press the unlocking mechanism
(d) . Remove the protective film from the adhesive strip

on the holding plate and attach the plate centrally at
the top of the rear side of the WAP-7D . Insert the unit
with the attached plate into the clip until it locks into
place . Tightly fasten the clip at the belt (G) or at another
suitable spot . To remove the WAP-7D from the clip at any
time, press the unlocking mechanism (d) .
5 . The miniature microphone (A) can be hand-held or
fixed at any spot with its clip . Connect the microphone
plug to the jack MIC (5) . For extension, the 5 m cable (l)
can be inserted .
6 . Put on the headband microphone (B) so that the
microphone arm is placed at your left ear (
Move the microphone arm upwards or downwards
(centre of rotation = position b) so that the microphone
is close to your mouth . Connect the microphone plug
to the jack MIC (5) . For extension, the 5 m cable (l) can
be inserted .
7 . An audio unit with line output (e . g . radio, CD or MP3
player) can be connected to the jack LINE (6) . Exam-
ple: When the audio unit is used to supply background
music at low volume while the microphone is used for
talking, it must be possible to adjust the volume of the
line output of the audio unit .
