The Prolaser
®
Kapro recommends checking the level regularly, especially
if the unit has been dropped or mishandled.
Horizontal Line Calibration Test
1. Set up the unit on a level surface (or in the tripod adaptor/
wall mount on a tripod) next to an unobstructed 100'
(30m) wall.
2. Level the unit as accurately as possible.
3. Turn on the unit and mark the position of the beam next
to the laser. = Point 1
4. Mark the position of the beam at a point approximately
100' (30m) from the unit. = Point 2
5. After marking the two points move the laser from Point
1 to next to Point 2 and level the unit as accurately as
possible.
6. Turn on the unit and mark the position of the beam next
to the laser and another mark next to the original Point 1.
7. Measure the height difference between both sets
of markings. Ideally, the points should be identical.
