FIELD CALIBRATION TEST
The laser level leaves the factory fully calibrated. Kapro
recommends that he level be check regularly and after the unit
has been dropped or mishandled.
Horizontal Calibration Test
1. Place the laser on a flat, vibration free surface as near as
possible to a long wall.
2. Switch the laser ON and press the Beam Selector button
until the horizontal beam is projected.
3. Make two marks on the wall at the laser line – one close
to the laser (Mark 1) and one as far away as possible (Mark 2).
4. Move the laser unit as close to the far away mark (Mark 2)
as possible, adjust the height of the beam to
Mark 2 and repeat steps 1-4.
5. Measure the difference between the laser line and Mark 1.
The difference should not exceed 0.2 mm per meter of the
horizontal distance between marks 1 and 2. For example, if the
distance is 5m then the difference should not exceed 0.2mm x
5 – 1mm. If this is the case then the laser is calibrated.
