Cautions on Installation
Place of installation
• Select a stable, flat place to install this unit. Do not
place it in an unsteady, unstable place or a place
exposed to heavy vibrations.
• Avoid the following types of places:
– On top of TVs or color monitors
– Near cassette decks or other components easily
affected by magnetism.
– Places exposed to direct sunlight or strong artificial
light
– Places subject to vibration
– Places exposed to strong electromagnetic or
magnetic forces
– Places in which there is much electrical noise
– Places in which electrostatic noise tends to be
generated
– Humid or poorly ventilated places
– Closed racks
– Extremely hot or cold places
– Places in which there is much dust or cigarette
smoke
– Places exposed to soot, steam or heat (in kitchens,
etc.)
Surrounding temperature and
humidity during use
This unit should be used within a surrounding
temperature range of 0 °C to 45 °C and a relative humidity
of 85 % or less. When stacking units of this unit (up to
three units), the upper limit for the surrounding
temperature should be about 35 °C. Furthermore, when
mounting on a rack or in any other closed place, or when
installing near devices that generate heat, the
temperature around this unit should be 45 °C maximum.
• The unit may be set to the standby mode or playback
may stop if the internal temperature rises. If this
happens, change the place of installation, usage
conditions, etc.
Do not place objects on top
Do not place other products, display devices, etc., on top
of this unit.
Do not obstruct the ventilation
holes
Do not use this unit on a shaggy rug, bed, or sofa, and do
not cover this unit with a cloth, etc. Doing so will prevent
heat dissipation and could lead to damage.
Keep away from heat
Heat may lead to unstable operation or fire.
• When installing this unit, make sure to leave space
around the unit for ventilation to improve heat
radiation (at least 5 cm at top, 5 cm at rear, and 5 cm
at each side).
• Install the seat away from other devices.
When installing multiple units
• Up to three units of this unit can be stacked.
• The current will surge if the power to several units of
this unit is turned on or off (to the standby mode)
simultaneously from an external device. For the value
per unit, see page 81.
