Cutting Attachment Maintenance

WARNING: Failure to replace or repair damaged cut-
ting attachment can cause serious injury.
Always wear protective gloves when performing
maintenance to the blades.
General rules
• Only use cutting attachments with the guard provided.
• Check the cutting attachment for damage or cracks. A

damaged cutting attachment should always be replaced. (Fig.
42).
WARNING: Never repair damaged cutting attachments
by welding, straightening or modifying the shape. This
may cause parts of the cutting tool to come off and
result in serious or fatal injuries.
WARNING: Always discard a blade that is bent,
twisted, cracked, broken or damaged in any other
way. Never attempt to straighten a twisted blade so
that it can be reused. Only use original blades of the

specified type.
Blade (Fig.43)
Place the blade between holders (2) and (4) while locking the gear
shaft by putting the bar, through the key holes on the holder (4)
and the gear case. Use the socket and the locking pin to tighten
the blade mounting bolt.
(1) Blade mounting nut (Left-handed) Tightning Torque: 11-15
ftlb (15-20 Nm)

WARNING - Attention to the direction of the holder

Guard

WARNING: If the cutting tool or deflector becomes
clogged or stuck, always turn off the engine and
make sure the cutting tool has stopped before
cleaning. Grass, weeds, etc. should be cleaned off
the cutting tool at regular intervals.
Replace guard if damaged.

Cutting attachment guard (Fig.44)
When you replace cutting attachment guard, use new bolt (A).
Tightning Torque: 7.5 ftlb (10 Nm).
Protector (Fig.45)
When you replace protector, use new bolt (B). Tightning Torque:
3-4.5 ftlb (4-6 Nm).

Wheel

When reassemble or replace the wheel, must respect assemble
order (Fig.46). Tighten the wing nut (C) securely. Tightening

Torque: 4.5-6 ftlb (6-8 Nm).
