Programming the basic settings
Programming the basic settings relates to adapting the various handset settings to your own per-
sonal needs. Press the button to cancel a programming process. If you do not press a but-
ton within a 15 sec period, the process is automatically cancelled and any changes made are dis-
carded. Proceed as follows:

7. Volume and ringing melody for the base station

Restoring the default settings
1. Remove the batteries from the handset.
2. Insert the batteries in the handset again and press and hold the * button immediately
until 8888888 appears in the display.
3. Press the button until an acoustic confirmation signal is issued. The telephone
switches to Standby mode after a short time.

All descriptions in this operating manual assume that the handset is in Standby mode. The hand-
set is in Standby mode after pressing the button.
