Put the head straps up, insert your
chin to the chin support in the face part and
pull the head straps over your head.
Stretch the elastic tabs in pairs by
pulling at the free ends of tabs backward.
Adjust the fitting of mask on your face
so that it fits firmly, but comfortably.
Adjust the lengths of the upper pair of
tabs and fasten them with buckles.
5.5.3. Taking the mask off:
Do not take the mask off until you
leave the dangerous space.
Release the four elastic tabs in pairs
by moving the tab holders forward. Both non-
elastic tabs need not be released.
Pull the head straps over your head
and take the mask off.
5.5.4. Visor replacement:
The visor is attached in the groove around the
visor opening of the outer mask.
Use a 2.5 mm Allen key and remove
the two screws holding half-frames.
Carefully remove the upper half-frame.
Lever out the upper part of mask from
the visor and remove the visor from the lower
groove.
The marks show the centres of the
visor, half-frames and mask. Push the new
visor into the groove and make sure that the
centre marks are aligned.
Lever in the upper half of the mask
over the visor and make sure that the visor is
not in the mask groove.
Lever out the upper half-frame and
make sure that the centre marks are aligned.
Mount the screws and tighten them
alternately until both half-frames are in firm
contact.
5.5.5.
Replacement
membranes:
One membrane is in the middle of the inner
mask on a fixed pin.
Lever out the membrane and install a
new membrane. There are two membranes
installed, i.e. one on the other inside the inner
mask. The pins for these membranes are
removable and they should be replaced
whenever the membrane is replaced.
Lever out the membranes and pins.
Lever in new membranes on new pins.
The membrane should rest on the
wider flange, i.e. screw the pin with membrane
from the inner side of mask, over the valve
seat, first with the smaller flange.
5.5.6.
Replacement
membranes:

out
The breathing out membranes are fixed on the
fixed pin inside the valve covers on each side
of the outer mask.
Separate the valve covers from valve
seats.
Lever out membranes.
Push new membranes onto pins.
Check that the membranes touch the valve
seats along the entire circumference.
Push the valve covers back into place.
Clicking means that the cover has snapped in
place.
5.5.7. Replacement of head straps:
Unfasten the tab holders of head
straps from the mask tabs attachment.
Check that the tabs are not twisted and
comply with the new head straps.
5.6. Welding hood CA – 20
When mounting the hood and welding filter or
when replacing the protective screen, check
that all parts are fixed firmly in places.
5.6.1. Face seal replacement:
Removing the face seal:
Unscrew the headband nuts.
Remove the headband.
Remove the face seal. By pulling
release the plastic part from the groove,
unthread the adjusting screw.
Putting on the face seal:
Insert the plastic edge of face seal in
the groove on the inner side of shell, thread the
rear hole over the adjusting screw.
Fix and screw in the headband
including the hose holder.
For hygiene reasons, discard the old face seal
immediately after replacement so that it cannot
be reused.
5.6.2. Auto-darkening filter (ADF) replacement:
Insert the inner protective plate in the
prepared frame between the side holders on
the inner side of the welding filter.
Insert the filter in the opening for filter
from the outside of the hood.
Start from the bottom so that the filter
can hook into the lower holder and then snap
the upper part so that is snaps in the upper
holder.
Insert the outer protective plate in the
frame with four side holders. Hold the
protective screen with your thumb and middle
finger and, on the thumb side, insert it in the
grooves of both side holders.
The dent in the hood provides the
necessary place for your thumb. Bend the
protective screen with your middle finger and
using two adjacent fingers insert it in both side
grooves.
