shield is protected better.
5.1.2. Fastening the protective thermal inset
(winter cap):
Put the forehead strap on the top part
of the headband.
Stick the velcro fastener of the longer
part of the inset to the rear inner hem of the
hood.
Stick the top velcro fastener to the top,
set-on forehead strap (see 1).
Stick the velcro fastener on the short
part of the inset to the front forehead strap
from the outside.
5.1.3. Putting on a light protective hood
Carefully pull the light hood over your
head.
Adjust the size of the head band using
position-adjusting straps so that the hood sits
on the head comfortably.
Using the self-tightening clamp tighten
the sealing line of the hood (2 lines in the case
of the CA – 10 hood).
CA – 2 and CA – 10 hoods are available
also in a chemically resistant variant. The
material is then resistant to acids, alkalis,
and
organic
substances.

5.2. Grinding visor CA – 3 and protective
visor CA – 3A
The grinding visor is supplied with the visor
mounted. Take out the visor and remove the
protective foil before use.
A separately supplied foil 0.1 mm thick is
designated to protect the visor of the CA – 3
visor. To fix it to the visor, the foil is provided
with self-adhesive tapes on sides.
Material: Forehead protection – polypropylene
Visor – polycarbonate or acetate
Face seal – polyamide floated with PU
and PVC
Protective foil – diacetate
The visor selvage bears the mark acc. to EN
166 on the inner selvage of the visor.
5.2.1. Face seal replacement:
Removing the face seal:
Release the face seal from the velcro
fasteners on the headband.
Tear the face seal off the velcro
fastener on the visor and on the front part of
the air duct.
Consult

not to unstick also the velcro fastener.
Putting on the face seal:
Start in the middle of the lower edge
and proceed symmetrically upwards fastening
the face seal edge to the velcro fastener along
the entire circumference.
Fix the face seal to the air duct.
With the velcro fastener fix the face
seal to the headband.
Check that the face seal fits well along
the entire circumference and that there are no
holes caused by folds on the face seal.
5.2.2. Setting the distance of visor to face
Unlock the headband from the fixed
position.
Take out the grey pin on both sides of
the visor.
Set the optimum distance to chin (4
positions).
5.2.3. Setting the depth of headband
Set the optimum depth using the pins
on the top part of the headband.
5.2.4. Setting the circumference of headband
Push and turn the knob on the rear
side of the headband.
Adjust the circumference so that it is
not too tight or loose.
5.2.5. Visor replacement:
Taking the visor out:
Pull at the visor edge in the lower part.
At the same time push from the lower
inner side of the visor out.
Mounting the visor:
Fix the lower part of visor into the
provided opening.
Slide the upper part of visor under the
top selvage of the visor.
Slide the side edges of the visor into
the lower grooves.
Warning: The visor with acetate visor (CA – 3A)
cannot be used for grinding!

5.3. Helmet CA – 4
Helmets are supplied with a foil protecting visor
against damage during handling and transport.
The foil is sewn in the face seal and it must be
removed carefully.
