5. If the motor temperature rises above 110° C, the motor will switch off automatically until
the temperature drops back below 100° C.
6. If the juicer has not been used for a period of more than five minutes, the illumination of
the LCD display switches off automatically.
Before plugging in to the mains electricity supply
1. Check that your mains voltage supply matches the voltage shown on the base of the machine.
2. The juicer meets the requirements specified in Switzerland and the European Union.
Before using the machine for the first time
1. Remove all packaging.
2. Wash the various components: please see the section on «Cleaning the machine».

Preparing the food
1. Remove any pips and stones (from plums, peaches, cherries, etc.).
2. Remove any hard skin (from melons, pineapples, cucumbers, potatoes, etc.). Fruit and vegetables with
soft skins (e.g. apples, pears, carrots, radishes, cabbages, parsley, celery, spinach, grapes, strawberries,
etc.) just need to be washed.
3. Citrus fruits: peel the fruit and remove the white pith, otherwise the juice will have a bitter taste.
4. Slice off the hard upper section of carrots (Fig. 3).
5. Cut carrots in half or quarter if they are too thick to reach the filter when you put them into
the feed chute (Fig. 4).
