If already mounted cables are removed, the openings must be sealed with suitable plugs to be provided by the
customer.
Note:
If used in applications involving food or chemicals, the resistance – e. g. against the detergents used – must be tested in advance.

Foreseeable Misuse, Residual Risks

Foreseeable misuse:
• The installation site is polluted. Operating conditions and usage do not comply with the intended use.
• Use of inappropriate tools.
• Visual/functional tests are not carried out.
• Insertion of cables other than those mentioned under Intended Purpose.
The residual risks have already been assessed in connection with the use of cable gland plates and enclosure series 33 – see Assembly
and Operating Instructions for Wall-Mount Enclosures, Series 33.

Instructions for Installation and Fittings

Mounting of the cable gland plate on series 33 enclosure:
• The cable gland plate can be mounted in any position.
• Prior to installation, check the product for damage.
Recommended tools:
• Torque tool with bit for Torx 20 screw head.
Note:
• Depending on their size, enclosures of the 33 series are equipped with cut-outs for cable gland plates "size 1" or "size 2".
• For more detailed information, please visit www.haewa.com and enter the order number of the enclosure.
• Glue rubber seal carefully either onto the cut-out of the enclosure or onto the cable gland plate.
• Place cable gland plate against the cut-out and screw down using the thread-forming screws provided.
• Torque 1.5 Nm – after the thread is completely formed.
These specifications have been uniquely determined for standard enclosures with standard finish and are deemed to be binding under
optimum conditions (e.g. straight fitting of thread-forming screws).
Insertion of Cables
Where necessary, remove optional black cover from the locking
plate. To do so, pierce the opening from the rear until the cover
falls out.
Select an opening that matches the cable diameter and push
the cable through the opening from the front/outside. The
indicator becomes visible on the rear side. Pull the cables
through to the desired length.
