Setting the Tally Mode of
the RM-BR300
The RM-BR300 has two tally modes: on-air tally mode
and normal tally mode, to light up the tally lamp on the
camera. You can select either tally mode as necessary.
For controllable cameras, see "TALLY/CONTACT
connector" in Appendix on page 21.

Setting On-air Tally Mode

When you set the TALLY/CONTACT selector to
TALLY and on-air tally mode has been set, the tally
lamp of the camera selected with the connected switcher
lights regardless of the camera selection on this unit.
To set to on-air tally mode, follow the steps below.

Press the ON/OFF switch to turn off the unit.

Set the TALLY/CONTACT selector to TALLY.

While holding down the MODE button, CAMERA
button 4, and POSITION button 4 at the same time,
press the ON/OFF switch to turn on the unit.
On-air tally mode is now set. The tally mode setting
is retained even if the power of the unit is turned off.
To check the tally mode setting, see "Checking the
Tally Mode" on page 18.
To change the setting of the TALLY/CONTACT
selector
Turn off the unit, change the position of the TALLY/
CONTACT selector according to the function you wish
to use, and turn on the unit.

Setting Normal Tally Mode

When you set the TALLY/CONTACT selector to
TALLY and normal tally mode has been set, the tally
lamp of the camera selected with the connected switcher
lights, while the same camera is selected on this unit and
the CAMERA button corresponding to the selected
camera lights in blue.
To set to normal tally mode, follow the steps below.

press the ON/OFF switch to turn on the unit.
Normal tally mode is now set. The tally mode

Turn off the unit, change the position of the TALLY/
CONTACT selector according to the function you wish
to use, and turn on the unit.

Checking the Tally Mode

You can check the current tally mode setting with lights
of buttons.

While holding down the MODE button, press
CAMERA button 4 and POSITION button 4 at the
same time.
The lights of the POSITION buttons and CAMERA
buttons change to indicate the current tally mode.
On-air tally mode
POSITION buttons 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 and
CAMERA buttons 2, 3, 4, and 7 light to indicate on-
air tally mode.
