Attention! Never use chains without saw chain
lubrication! Using the chain saw without saw
chain oil or with an oil level below minimum
will result in damage to the chainsaw!
Attention! Observe temperature conditions:
Lubricants with very different viscosities are
required for different ambient temperatures.
For low temperatures, oil with a low viscosity
is required to produce an adequate lubricating
film. If you use the same oil in summer time, it
will further liquefy due to the higher ambient
temperatures, thereby making it difficult to
sustain the lubrication film. The chain will
overheat and be damaged. Furthermore, the oil
will burn, causing unnecessary pollution.
Filling the oil tank
- Put down the chainsaw on a level surface. (B7)
- Clean the area around the filler cap (item 4) and
open the cap.
- Fill the oil tank with saw chain oil. Make sure
that no dirt gets into the oil tank in order to avoid
clogging the oil nozzle.
- Close the filler cap (item 4).
8. OPERATION
8.1 Adjusting the length of the telescopic pole
Always disconnect the power tool from the
mains before inspection and adjustment
work.
To extend the pole, turn nut 1 counterclockwise.
Pole will slide freely. ( B8)
Pull inner pole section out to desired length of
extension (B9)
To lock pole in position, turn nut clockwise until
firmly hand tight.
8.2 Adjusting the angle of the cutter head
50
- Press the adjustment button (item 6) and adjust
the cutting angle as required. (B10)
9. SWITCHING ON/OFF
Switching on (B11)
- Use both hands to hold the chainsaw at its
handles (thumb below the handle).
- Press the switch lock (item 11) and keep it
pressed.
- Switch on the chainsaw with the on/off switch
(item 12). Now you can release the switch lock
(item 11).
Switching off (B11)
- Release the on/off switch (item 12). Always
disconnect the power tool from the mains when
interrupting your work.
How to secure the extension cord (B12)
Only use extension cords approved for outdoor
areas. The cross-section of the cord must be at
2
least 1.5mm
for a cord length of up to 75m.
First connect the plug of the chainsaw with the
connecting cable. Then form a loop with the
connecting cable and push it through the cable
guidance at the housing of the chainsaw. Place
the loop over the strain relief clamp as shown on
illustration B12.
Extension cords with a length of more than 30m
reduce the performance of the chainsaw.
ADJUSTING SHOULDER STRAP
The pole saw has a shoulder strap for assistance
of operation.
1. Hook the shoulder strap through the hole (B19).
2. Pull the strap to the desired position.
