Introduction
VolP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a technology which uses the Internet to
transmit telephone conversations.
Analogue voice signals are compressed and converted to a digital form. These
digital signals are transmitted via computer networks or the Internet.
Under the corresponding conditions, VolP can be used to telephone free of charge. It
may only be necessary for payment to cover the costs of your Internet provider!
As a result, VolP represents an interesting alternative to traditional telephony.
This telephone is a USB−based VoIP telephone which only needs to be con-
nected to your PC in order to carry out VolP telephone calls.
The Skypet application software is required in order to operate the telephone.
