7x50 Binocom digital
Setting the distance between the eyes
The distance between the eyes differs between individuals. To achieve perfect inter-
play between your eyes and the lenses of your 7x50 Binocom digital look through your
binoculars and change the distance between eyepieces by contracting or expanding that
distance manually until you have a clear field of vision.
Focussing
Your 7x50 Binocom digital have individual eyepiece adjustment (1). Turn the adjustment
rings on both sides to focus on a distant object. Individual focussing is intended to give
you better focus depth so that when changing between objects of differing distance refo-
cusing is only needed if the difference is really major.
Eyepiece cups
These (2) are ergonomically designed on your 7x50 Binocom digital to prevent irritating
light entering from the side. Important for spectacle wearers: we recommend removing
the cups to retain the full field of vision.
Nitrogen filling
Your 7x50 Binocom digital is filled with nitrogen gas. The interior pressure that results
prevents water entering your binoculars and resists 5 m water depth pressure for at least
5 minutes. Opening the eyepiece (lens or eyepiece) allows the gas to escape and your
binoculars are then no longer watertight.

Digital compass

The illuminated display of the inbuilt digital compass (Fig. 2) is shown in the left lens. On
the left is the inclination in degrees (TILT). In the middle is the compass rose with North
alignment. The right-hand values are the direction in degrees. The display switches off
automatically after one minute and can be reactivated by pressing the switch (5).
