Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the prob-
lem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below, contact the customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device does not
work.
No heat is produced.
The device gets too
warm.
The device makes
noises.
Smoke emerges from
the device.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that
it can be recycled.
The device is governed by the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electri-
cal and electronic equipment (WEEE). Do not dispose of the device as normal
domestic waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via an offi cially
approved waste disposal company.

Possible cause
The
button has not been
pressed properly.
The mains adapter is not
inserted correctly in the plug
socket.
The device is not con-
nected correctly to the mains
adapter.
The plug socket is defective. Try another plug socket.
There is no mains voltage.
There is too much weight on
the device.
The red light and heat are
not switched on.
The device was in operation
several times in succession
for 15 minutes / too long in
each case.
Operating noises are a normal consequence of the mechanics
and not a defect.
The device is defective.
Fix
Press the
button.
Push the mains adapter into the
plug socket as far as it will go.
Correct the connection.
Check the fuse of the electrical
distributor (fuse box).
Reduce weight on the device.
Press the HT button.
Pull the mains adapter out of
the plug socket and allow the
device to cool down. Always
disconnect the device from the
mains when it is not in use.
Pull the mains adapter out of
the plug socket immediately
and contact the customer ser-
vice department.
