TAIL BRACING WIRE INSTALLATION
Additional hardware and cables have
been provided for your convenience.
1.
Use pliers to bend the twelve brass two-hole fi ttings at
a slight angle so the clevises can be attached when they
are placed on the fi n and stabilizer.
2.
Slide the brass two-hole fi tting on a 4-40 x 3/4-inch
socket head cap screws. Insert the screw into the hole in
the stabilizer.
3.
Slide a brass two-hole fi tting on the screw, then thread a
4-40 lock nut on the screw. Tighten the hardware using a
3/32-inch hex wrench and 1/4-inch nut driver. Leave the
hardware slightly loose so the fi ttings can be positioned
when installing the cables. Install the fi ttings on the fi n
as well.
4.
Slide the sleeve on the end of the cable, then the brass
two-hole fi tting. Pass the cable back through the sleeve.

Attach the clevis to the brass two-hole fi tting. Slide the
sleeve on the end of the cable, then through the cable

sleeve to the cable. Thread the nut against the clevis,
then slide the tubing over the forks of the clevis. Do not
pull the cables too tight as it may cause misalignment to
the tail group.
8.
Attach the second cable to the fi tting at the fi n.
9.
Attach the cable to the cable end after connecting the
