7.3 CHIP / KEY PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE (EXAMPLE: SETTING THE DATE)
Plug in the chip or key. Pressing the "ENTER" button calls up the working display. Pressing
the "ENTER" button again takes you to programming mode.
All the parameters can be entered using exactly the same procedure and sequence as
described for setting the parameters in manual mode (see section 6.2). A date can be ente-
red in the format 'DD-MM-YYYY', so that you can determine the useful life of the battery.

READING OUT THE DATA ON A BID CHIP / KEY
When you connect a BID chip or key , you must then press the "VIEW" button. In addition to
the normal displays, as described in section 8.2 "VIEW", the following data can be read out
in order to obtain an up-to-date overview of the exact state of the battery.
