Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the plug is removed
from the power source before making any adjustments or performing
maintenance procedures.
1. dePtH adJustMent(FiGure 3 & 4)
The depth of cut should be set according to workpiece thickness .
•
Disconnect plug from power source.
•
Loosen the depth adjustment knob located between the guard
and the handle of saw.
•
Hold the footplate down with one hand and raise or lower saw by
the handle. The corresponding depth of cut can be read from the
scale.
•
Tighten knob at the depth setting desired. Check desired depth
•
Not more than one tooth length of the blade should extend below
the material to be cut, for minimum splintering.
Setting the saw at the proper cutting depth keeps blade friction to
a minimum, removes sawdust from between the blade teeth, and
results in cooler, faster cutting and reduces the kickback.

2. Bevel adJustMent (FiGure 5)
The footplate can be adjusted between 0º to 45º
•
Disconnect plug from power source.
•
Loosen the bevel adjustment knob in front of the saw
•
Hold the footplate with one hand and move saw by the handle.
The corresponding bevel angle can be read from the scale.
•
Tighten knob at the angle setting desired. Check desired angle
•
Keep the saw steady and the footplate firmly on the workpiece
because the amount of blade engaging in the work increased.
