WARNINGS AND NOTES

• After using any "water jet" function, switch off the mixer tap and/or
the water stop tap. We also recommend that you turn the diverter di-
al to the "outlet at foot level" position.
• If the water is very "hard", it is advisable to install a scale remover,
in order to prevent or reduce the formation of scale and to cut down
on the need for the scale removal cycle. The frequent use of the
steam bath also increases the formation of scale inside the boiler.
• The hydraulic system (hot/cold water) must ensure pressures that
are as well balanced as possible; considerable differences in
pressure can impede correct and fast adjustment of water tem-
perature.
• If FLEXA THEMA is supplied with hot water from an economic-
type gas boiler with mechanical flame modulation, the boiler may
not be able to supply water continuously at the required temper-
ature, so there may be some variations in the water temperature.
In this case, if it is not possible to replace the boiler with an elec-
tronic- modulation one, it is advisable to get a qualified service en-
gineer to lock the flame modulation of the boiler and only use the
shower enclosure mixer tap to regulate water temperature.
• After using the electrical functions of the shower enclosure, it is
advisable to switch off the master switch (§ "Electrical safety"
chapter).
For all maintenance and/or repair operations that require
the replacement of components, original Jacuzzi
parts must be used. Failure to comply with this regulation
while carrying out this operation will mean that the Manu-
facturer is not liable for any damage.
Models with thermostatic mixer
Dismantling and cleaning the thermostatic valve
The thermostatic valve is provided with mesh filters, to trap any im-
purities in the water.
Over time, these filters could become clogged and, therefore, inhibit the
functions of the mixer tap; to clean the valve, remove it in this way:
I
Turn off the water supply (hot and cold) to the shower enclosure.

Drain the water present in the mixer unit by turning the
diverter ring (5) to the symbol "under seat outlet" and open the stop
tap (3) completely; however, a little water will remain inside the brass
part. After emptying the mixer unit, close the stop tap by turning the
dial to the previous position.
i

Remove the two dial caps (1), by using the tip of a screw-
driver if necessary; be careful not to scratch the dial.

Ease out the thermostatic valve (8).
Clean the mesh filters with a little brush and rinse; if scale is pres-
ent, wash with specific products.
Reassemble the various components following the same procedure
backwards; also follow these instructions:
- the stop tap knob (3) must be in a vertical position (closed position).

Attach the thermostatic valve so that the grub screw (9)
(screw peg) is facing downwards, and it can enter the cut in the brass
casing.
