Install the batteries—HL7 sonde
Explosion hazard. Incorrect battery installation can cause the release of explosive gases. Be sure that
the batteries are of the same approved chemical type and are inserted in the correct orientation. Do not
mix new and used batteries. Do not mix batteries from different manufacturers. Do not use damaged
batteries.
Install the four D-cell batteries supplied. Refer to the illustrated steps that follow.
When the last battery is installed the battery indicator light flashes green. If the indicator light flashes
red, the batteries do not have sufficient power.

Install the software

Install the Hydrolab Operating Software on a PC.
