7.5 Replace the pump tubing
Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the personal protective
equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to the current safety data sheets
(MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
Pinch hazard. Parts that move can pinch and cause injury. Do not touch moving parts.
The maintenance kit that comes with the unit includes all tubes and fittings for pump tubing
replacement. For a list of components, refer to
1. Turn off the sample flow to the instrument and turn off the power to the instrument.
2. Remove the pump. Refer to
3. Remove the tubes from the slots.
4. Disconnect the pump tubes from the inlet and outlet fittings (one tube at a time). Install a new
tube and make sure that the tube is fully seated in the slots.
5. Install the pump, then select PRIME>ALL to do a Prime Sample cycle. Look for leaks.
