When used for the fi rst time, electrical appliances emit a smell typical of electrical heating devices,

the mains voltage. Under no cir cum stances use the appliance if the mains cable or plug is faulty. Never
leave the mains cable hanging over an edge and never pinch the ca ble. Ensure that the cable (and,

mains ca ble away from heat. Danger of fi re and short-circuiting! Renewal or modifi cation of the mains
cable or plug should be carried out only by a qualifi ed, professional electrician. If you use an ex ten si on

Connect the appliance to a wall socket. Set the temperature controller to maximum; the grill surface will
reach the ideal grilling temperature in about 15 minutes. You can then adjust the temperature to re-

you can "park" the hot pans when they are not in use.
Caution: the handles of pans that have been in constant use may become quite hot. Therefore: always
hold a hot pan by the end of the handle.
The appliance becomes hot during operation. Never touch the hot sur face. Do not transport the appliance
until it has cooled down com ple te ly. Ex tre me care is required if the appliance is used in the vicinity of
children. Never leave an operating appliance unsupervised or when hot. Under no cir cum stances
cover the appliance when in operation. The underlying surface should be dry, non-slip and level. Ensure a
safe distance of 50 cm to walls, housings and other surfaces: fi re hazard! Use only original accessories.
