First use
Cleaning the inside
Before using the freezer for the first time in any circumstances, clean
the inside of the freezer and any accessories supplied in order to
eliminate the characteristic odour of new products, using slightly
soapy, lukewarm water, then dry everything thoroughly.
IMPORTANT!
Never use cleaning products or abrasive powders as they may damage
the surface of the unit or the accessories.
Setting the thermostat
Select a temperature level using the thermostat control button.
Position 1: cold.
Position 5: colder. This is the standard setting.
Position 7: minimum temperature.
Position Max: used for rapid freezing of room
temperature foodstuffs.
After 24 hours in this position, restore the thermostat to the desired
position.
It is possible that the unit will not operate at the correct temperature if
the ambient temperature is high, or if the door of the freezer is often
open.
Freezing fresh foodstuffs
The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh foodstuffs and for
storing frozen food for longer periods. Place the fresh food to be frozen
in the bottom of the freezer.
The maximum quantity of food that can be frozen over a 24-hour period
is shown on the unit's information plate.
The process of freezing an item takes 24 hours; do not add any food to
the freezer during this period.
