Preserving frozen food
The following advice applies if the unit has just been turned on for the
first time or if it has not been used for an extended period. Before
placing items in the freezer, allow it to run empty for at least two hours
on the coldest setting.
IMPORTANT!
If the freezer has defrosted by accident (e.g., if the electricity was cut off
for longer than the safe period specified in the technical datasheet at
the end of this manual), the defrosted food must be consumed or
cooked quickly, and then refrozen once cooked if not for immediate
consumption.
Defrosting
To defrost frozen food, you can either place them in a refrigerator or
leave them out at room temperature, depending on how much time is
available.
Small pieces of food can be cooked without being defrosted as soon as
they are taken out of the freezer. If this is the case, they will take longer
to cook.
Food hygiene
Remove retail packaging before placing food in the freezer.
Pack food in appropriate, hygienic and safe containers designed for
storing food in order to prevent cross-contamination of bacteria
between different foodstuffs.
Wait for prepared food to chill before storing it in the freezer.
